Chapter 12

Ellie

When I wake up the next day in Reese’s bed, it takes me a moment to get my bearings. Reese is sprawled out next to me, lying on her stomach with her ass exposed, so I enjoy the view for a moment. I must’ve taken all the sheets sometime in the middle of the night but I am surprised she hasn’t fought me for them back. I unwrap myself a little and place some over her. She moves slightly but doesn’t wake up so I keep admiring her. The sun is coming in from the window above us and she is illuminated by the light. Reese is always beautiful but with this lighting, she looks god-like.

“Hey.” I poke Reese’s shoulder and she stirs for a moment before yawning and turning to face me.

“Mmm, good morning.” She opens her eyes slightly and smiles. I am relieved she is happy to see that I am still here. After last night we kind of fell asleep and when I woke to pee at 3am I was too exhausted to wake her and go home on my own. I didn’t think she’d mind if I stayed, but the reassurance is nice.

“Good morning.” I lean in to kiss her head. My breath smelling morning like, and I’m sure hers does too. We hadn’t left this bed in almost two days now, and I am suddenly aware of things like needing to shave and brushing my teeth.

“What time is it?” she mumbles.

I reach and glance at my phone which has been on do not disturb for longer than it’s ever been before. “Ten thirty-two.”

“Hmm.” She pauses. “Would you like to grab some brunch with me?”

“You mean leave your apartment?” I feign a gasp.

“Yes, I thought we could go on an actual date that doesn’t take place in my bed.” She laughs.

“I’d love that.” I smile. “But could we shower first?”

“Of course.” She nods. Reese sits up in bed and stretches her arms, the blanket falling to her waist, giving me a good look at her chest. Mmm, how I’d love to have those in my mouth again. But there’ll be time for that later. Right now I am in desperate need of a shower and some toothpaste.

“Will you join me?” I ask hesitantly. I know some people don’t like showering together but it is one of my favorite things to do with another person.

“I’d love to.” She smiles.

We head to the bathroom, Reese grabbing clothes, and I realize I’ll have to wear the St. Patricks day outfit I came in. I’m going to look like I haven’t left her apartment in days, which is true but I don’t necessarily want to look the part. Reese grabs me an extra toothbrush she got from the dentist and we brush our teeth together first. It is cute how domestic we are being, like it is just normal for us. She turns the water on and gets in first, and let me tell you just when I thought she couldn’t get any hotter, I was wrong.
